In the Information Age of the twenty-first century, the library at La Habra
High School is more important than ever, and so to know and make good use of
library resources is a vital part of a high school student’s education.
Therefore, every Fall each freshman student receives a week-long orientation,
providing hands-on activities to teach the use of the library.
SPECIAL FEATURES
The LHHS library collection consists of over 30,00 volumes closely aligned with
the curriculum. Periodicals and other supplementary resources offer additional
help to information seekers.
The library also has 24 computer workstations networked to provide access to
internal library resources as well as the Internet.
Hours Open
The school library is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. The library staff is ready to assist students in their use of the facilities
and materials. Students are permitted in the library during school hours
only if they have an unscheduled first or sixth period as verified by the
librarian or if they have a library pass from a teacher. The library will also
be open Tuesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
